For all my Jewish Brothers and Sisters.... and all of those of you who who just like celebrating Eight Crazy Nights I bring you some of my favorite Chanukah, Hanukah, Hanukkah and Chanukkah songs:
The greatest Hanukkah song ever:
"The Chanukah Song" by Adam Sandler (mp3).
Buy album here
More Traditional:
"Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah" by The Barenaked Ladies (mp3)
Buy album here
Fun:
"Latke Clan" (mp3) and "How Do You Spell Channukkahh?" (mp3) both by The LeeVees (a Guster side project)
Buy album here
And just so you know non-Jews can get into the fun too:
"Hanukkah Dance" by Woody Guthrie (mp3)
Buy album here.
While he wrote "Haukkah Dance" on his own, Woody Guthrie apparentely co-wrote a bunch of Jewish songs with his second wife's (who was Jewish) mother, Aliza Greenblatt. She was a Yiddish poet. Many of those songs, including "Hanukah Tree", "Hanuka Gelt" and "Hanuka's Flame" were later included in an album called Woody Guthrie's Happy Joyous Hanukkah by The Klezmatics. That album can be found here
Don't eat too many latkes.

Dirty Dancing
What happens when you're at one of your best friend's wedding, the band is on fire and you've drank too much? You get public spanking.
What happens when you combine this with a lack of rhythm? You get public spanking while pointing.
Who is he pointing to? Has he ever smiled that much before in his life? Did he KNOW the camera was on him? These are the questions that will be pondered for many years to come. But for now just enjoy the moment captured.
In honor of this glorious image I offer you the following songs:

The Vibe of the Tribe
Good Lord this man is a fancy dancer:
This is from my friends Jeff's wedding last night. The band playing played my wedding as well. That was three years ago - clearly Jeff has been working on his moves since then.
